Our Story.

At Tucker WRLD, our passion for rescuing dogs has deep roots, intertwined with family, fate, and the compassionate heart of a country boy who always put animals first: my dad.

Growing up around horses and animals, my dad was a true country soul whose bond with animals began in childhood. At 15 he made a deal with his parents that if he worked hard all summer and saved his money, he could buy the motorcycle of his dreams. After having saved enough money, he set out to buy that motorcycle. On his way, fate intervened and he discovered a devastatingly sick dog lying helplessly beneath a car, hiding from the world and close to death. Without hesitation, my dad spent every cent of his motorcycle savings on vet bills, nursing the dog back to health, and welcoming him home as Maxwell, the beloved Irish Setter.

My brothers and I watched my dad rescue countless animals in need. Many of our household pets were rescued from storm drains at construction sites or from situations where hope seemed lost. Among these rescues was Tucker, another deeply loved soul saved by my dad. Tucker wasn’t just my childhood dog—he became a tangible memory of my dad after his passing, allowing me to still feel close to him through Tucker’s presence. For eight years following my dad’s passing, Tucker was a daily comfort and connection to my dad’s kindness and love. With Tucker now gone, I continue to feel that connection to both my dad and Tucker through every dog I rescue.

Tucker’s world was one filled with unconditional love and my dream is to offer that same world to as many dogs as possible. The void left in my heart and soul by the passing of my dad and Tucker fuels my determination to rescue dogs in their honor, carrying forward their legacy of compassion and love.

Tucker WRLD honors that legacy—built on love, rescue, and hope. Every animal we save is a tribute to my dad’s boundless compassion, to Maxwell, and especially to Tucker, whose spirit lives on in every dog we rescue.
